19.05.2003 - In 1998, MAN Turbo got an order for two axial compressors to supply fuel gas for a combined-cycle power plant in Japan. The compressors are driven by a gas turbine with an output of 180 MW. Both compressors were supplied complete with base frame, oil system and auxiliary systems. The plant was commissioned successfully in July 1999.

The task of the fuel gas plant in a power station is to supply the gas turbine with fuel gas in line with the required mass flow and pressure parameters. The plant is designed to handle turbine start-up, part- and full-load operation and load rejection.

The fuel gas plant compresses the blast furnace blast quantity available for the steelworks.
